The Computer Science Department has two graduate programs: the Informatics Graduate Program (PPGI) and the Applied Computing Graduate Program (PPCA).

PPGI aims to produce and disseminate knowledge with national and international impact, through academic research, qualify researchers and has two central research lines: Foundations and Methods of Computing and Computing Systems. The PPCA aims to train technical, innovative and entrepreneurial leaders, teaching students how to transform research into practical applications. It offers four lines of research: Data Science, Software Engineering, Risk Management and Infrastructure for Cyber-Physical Systems.
